Bruce is a visionary, inventor and a strategic consultant in the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Space with twenty-five years of Industry Experience. He co-founded two AI/Machine learning companies (Molloy Group/Serviceware and Connotate Technologies) with a successful IPO and an exit. He has invented and patented a “System and Method for Representing and Retrieving Knowledge in an Adaptive Cognitive Network”.  Co-created many award-winning products then sold, negotiated and closed 6 and 7 figure deals with companies like Goldman Sachs, GE, AT&T, Reuters, Bloomberg, Accenture, Morgan Stanley, Hewlett Packard, Novartis, Dow Jones, Reuters and T-Mobile. Products include: web-based, data collection system based on machine-learning and intelligent software agents; intelligent help desk based on cognitive processing, AI knowledge engine, PC communications application, AI hiring evaluation system; product awards included “Product Of The Year” and “One To Watch”.  His expertise is sought after by large corporations as well as startups needing help in In Digital Transformation, M&A, Growth Acceleration, Product Strategy and Business Development. Bruce has a BA in Music and Physics from Columbia University.

James Fan | PhD, AI Entrepreneur & Former IBM Watson Pioneer

Dr. James Fan is the CEO & co-founder of HelloVera.ai, the premier AI solution to customer service. As the premier provider of AI solutions to customer service industry, the HelloVera.ai technology can diagnose and resolve consumers issues, help human agent increasing productivity and produce deep insights to customer concerns to improve the products and services of enterprises.

Before that Dr. Fan was a co-creator of Watson Question Answering System which beat the greatest human Jeopardy! players of all time. Winner of the prestigious AAAI Feigenbaum Prize as part of the Watson team.  It was featured in New York Times as one of the biggest AI success stories. Dr. Fan has a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, and he is the author/co-author of more than 30 peer-reviewed papers and a dozen patents. Dr. Fan was an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University and taught "Deep Learning for Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing" with Professor Liangliang Cao. 

 

Mayur Saxena | PhD, Healthcare AI Entrepreneur

Mayur is finishing his Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University where he co-founded Ardent Cell Technologies, a cell therapeutics company which came out of several years of research at Columbia University.  Ardent offers an innovative approach towards weight loss and diabetes, to be tested in its first in-human trials. Before joining Columbia he worked at Boston Consulting Group designing predictive models and precision medicine product pipelines for healthcare giants like Boston Scientific. He believes that opportunities shaping and contributing towards value based care are the way forward.

He also founded Droice Labs, which is a company that brings the power of artificial intelligence to hospitals and helps clinicians make better decisions for individual patients. The company's technology is based on a combination of the latest medical research and state-of-the-art learning algorithms. Their artificial intelligence analyzes how a decision has performed on similar patients in the past by aggregating data from millions of patient records. This allows doctors to consider all of their options in real-time and make the right decision. By giving doctors the information they need when they need it most, Droice has been shown to improve patient outcomes and streamline patient flow through health systems.

David M. Zusman, Managing Partner, Talara Capital Management

David is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Talara Capital Management, an upstream energy focused private equity firm with offices in Houston and the New York metropolitan area.  He has 20 years of private and public, equity and debt investment experience in energy and other real asset sectors.  David has particularly focused on sourcing, structuring, managing, and exiting U.S. upstream private oil and gas investments, serving on numerous energy company boards.  Notably in 2015, Talara led the restructuring and take private of Caza Oil and Gas, investing growth capital into this Delaware Basin company.  He serves as Board Chairman for Caza. Other recent investments include projects in the Eagle Ford and Anadarko basins, aimed at improving operating and completion efficiencies.  His companies have also been on the forefront of using the AI, big data, and VR technologies that are rapidly changing the energy sector.  Prior to Talara, David was a Partner of Perella Weinberg Partners, where he managed global resource investments.  Previously, David was a Partner at BrightStream Asset Management and a Managing Director at North Sound Capital, where he managed both public and private investments predominantly in the energy sector. David's investment career began at Credit Suisse, where he was an Equity Research Associate. In 1999, he was listed by Institutional Investor Magazine as a best up-and-comer in the natural gas industry.  He earned a B.S. in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.  Mr. Zusman frequently lectures on real asset investing at the McIntire School.   

Aaron Luber| Google AR/VR - Content Partnerships/Business Development

Aaron leads content partnerships and business development for Google's AR/VR team - partnerships, content strategy and support of larger ecosystem opportunities for Daydream, ARCore, Tango, Jump and emerging platforms. Oversees all major content partnerships (games, apps, video) across Google Play and YouTube for Daydream, entertainment and gaming for ARCore, as well as all branded campaigns across Cardboard. Started and launched YouTube 360, oversee cross functional VR efforts across YouTube.

Prior to his Google AR/VR role, Aaron was the YouTube Living Room partnerships lead and supported the worldwide distribution of YouTube across all connected devices - business development and account management for YouTube's platform partnership team - emerging platforms, new business opportunities including OEM, ODM, SoC, Operator/Telco and all other connected distribution outlets beyond the living room for YouTube.
